Today Tiffany's dad visited Pre-Kindergarten. He studied Marine Biology and has a big interest in fish and water conservation.
We heard about various features of a fish tank and were able to look at and touch a number of little animals. We that we need to copy nature when putting together a fish tank.
There are two types of water environments: freshwater and saltwater.
Fish eat fish food, but you need to give them the right type. Some eat meat, some eat plants and some eat both.
If you don’t give them the right type of food, or put them in the right type of water and copy all the important elements of nature, they could get sick and won’t survive.
We learnt a lot and loved being able to get up close and personal with some water creatures. Thank you so much for coming in to speak to us, John!!!

|Wow! A freshwater stingray!|
After Fruit Play we reflected on what we heard from Tiffany's dad and drew what we had learnt.
Our life-size fish tank is complete! We had a fantastic time during developmental play time exploring the stage.
