Outdoorsy Thursday

 PRE-LIT
Today we read us a story called "Ernie Dances to the Didgeridoo" by
Alison Lester. We talked about the front cover of the book, where we find
the author and what a blurb on the back of the book is. We predicted what
we thought the story might be about. There were some tricky words in the book like:
floodwaters
monsoon
harvest
humid
We talked about what these words might mean.

NUMERACY
Some of us practised writing our numbers and some of us had to order numbers and put them in a line. We have learnt a lot about numbers this year.

LITERACY
We are also working on our letter formation.

 LITERACY
We are getting very good at writing our numbers and letters.

DEVELOPMENTAL PLAY
Some of us were reporters and our partner was our photographer. We are learning to work together to record our ideas.

OUTDOOR PLAY
We loved dancing last term, but we missed our outdoor play time. We were so excited to be outside in the sunshine. Running, rolling, lifting and spinning is so important for our sensory development.
